Heading for 2027: preparing the launch of AgroGandiol
The AgroGandiol project is entering a key preparation phase. By 2027, we will consolidate the studies, partnerships and developments needed to launch a sustainable pilot farm serving the territory.

1An integrated vision for the territory

AgroGandiol aims to develop an integrated farm that combines local know-how and innovation to sustainably feed the territory. The project takes a global approach: crop and livestock production, aquaculture, aeroponics and soilless growing, serving food security, local jobs and climate resilience.
Our ambition is to create a place of learning, production and innovation, rooted in the Gandiol territory and looking to the future.
2Preparing the ground: studies and developments

By 2027, several preparatory tasks will be carried out: agronomic and environmental studies, soil analyses, planning of the developments and definition of the necessary infrastructure. This phase will make it possible to design a site suited to the Sahelian climate and respectful of the environment.
The goal is to lay solid foundations for an efficient, sustainable implementation rooted in the territory’s needs.
3Access to water and energy: sustainable solutions

Access to water is at the heart of the project. Efficient irrigation solutions suited to the local context will be studied, along with renewable energy sources, notably solar, to power the infrastructure.
These technical choices will aim to ensure responsible management of natural resources and reduce the farm’s environmental footprint.
4Studies and innovation
The preparation phase will include in-depth studies to determine the best technical and organisational solutions: crop selection, integrated production systems, innovations in aeroponics and fish farming, and training of the future teams.
Innovation will serve productive, sustainable and accessible agriculture, drawing on local know-how.
5Building partnerships
AgroGandiol’s success will rely on mobilising partners who share our vision: local stakeholders, technical organisations, institutions and investors committed to sustainable agriculture in Senegal.
Preparing the project includes seeking technical, financial and commercial partners.
6A launch envisaged for 2027
If the studies and partnerships progress as planned, the launch of the pilot farm’s first activities is envisaged for 2027. This step will mark the start of a collective adventure serving the territory, its inhabitants and future generations.
Contribute to sustainable agriculture that brings opportunities to Gandiol and its young people.
